Companies in each industry depend upon the software that runs their business. Retail stores, refineries, car dealerships, hospitals, and many other industries rely on software and the abilities of employees to leverage programs in every factor of business. The problem with this is that most software programs provide much more flexibility than the typical company needs. This results in frustration as employees must learn to become adept in various applications.

Software classes are the answer. There are live courses available for the most popular types of software programs. Today's companies send their key personnel to classes for Microsoft training, Cisco certification, and for expertise in several IT areas. This article provides the advantages of attending Microsoft classes (and other software classes) so that businesses get the most benefit from their software.

Customized To Fit The Needs Of The Company
The best way to learn to use software productively is by setting a goal. Business owners should know why they, and their employees, should become knowledgeable in a certain software program. For instance, taking Microsoft classes to learn about a SQL Server is a great idea, but without a clear purpose for how the knowledge will be used, it is difficult to gauge whether the class is beneficial. Knowing the goals for learning about certain software programs allows the trainers to make sure you get the most out of the class. They can customize the class to fit the needs of the company.

Fast Market Response
The environment of business changes daily. Procedures and processes taken for granted years ago are outdated today. Even Microsoft training courses offered two years ago require updating. This is also true for Oracle courses and Cisco certification classes. One of the most valuable advantages of sending employees to classes to learn about software programs is that experienced trainers are equipped to deliver knowledge relevant to current market dynamics. As the market dynamics change, the classes change.

Learning That Is Focused
Most business owners and executives are busy and they have limited time to sit and learn about a software program on their own. Cisco, Oracle, and Microsoft classes save time because they are focused on the most important needs. For instance, the database application, Access, is huge. Most people will never use and don't need to know 90% of the functionality of this program. Microsoft training instructors take the time to review the students' needs and will focus the class toward that direction.

Professional Teachers
Having access to professional teachers, well skilled in effectively presenting courses, are extremely valuable, whether you and your employees need focused Microsoft classes and Microsoft training, to become Cisco certified, earn a CCNA, or to learn Oracle 11g. Many times, they will have a unique perspective about an application they can offer to students. If you or an employee wants to know how to perform certain functions within a software program, the professional teachers will know.

Learning To Effectively Use Software
Learning to effectively use software can often be frustrating. Programs change quickly, "help" libraries aren't always helpful, and online tutorials rarely answer questions or provide the information needed. It can sometimes take hours to figure out how to perform one simple function within a software program. A class customized to the needs of the specific business addresses these concerns.

There are classes for numerous software applications, including Oracle's Audit Vault, Cisco, Microsoft training for Windows Vista, or Microsoft classes, Chicago, New York, or any other city. (Remember the comment (remark) has a limit of 100 characters)
Below is an example of the command being used:

Router>enable
Router#configure terminal
Router(config)#access-list 1 remark Only allow the abc workstation to get through
Router(config)#access-list 1 permit 172.69.2.98
Router(config)#access-list 1 remark Do not allow the xyz workstation to get through
Router(config)#access-list 1 deny 172.69.3.14
Router(config)#exit
Router#copy run start

In the example above, the workstation on the abc network that has the IP address 172.69.2.98 will be able to get its IP traffic through; but, the workstation that is on the xyz network that has the IP address 172.69.3.14 will not.

As you can clearly see, the access-list remark statements are commenting on the ACL behavior.
And, like with mostly all Cisco IOS commands; you can use the word "no" in front of the command to remove (disable) the configured command; like you see below:
Router(config)#no access-list 1 remark

By the way, if you decide to use the command, make sure your router(s) is running Cisco IOS 12.0(2)T or higher.

I hope this article was very informative and helped you quickly understand the usage of the access-list remark command. But it's not impossible. And above all, it doesn't have to be expensive to get the proper training prior to taking the test. The Internet and offline sources has many guides and aids to help you train for the test.

There are many online schools, companies, consulting group and forum sites that can offer powerful audio products to help train for the CCNA certification exam. Audio products are useful for people who are on the go, while commuting to work, while working out or even if you are sitting at your job. The CCNA training guides available cover every topic that will be on the test.
CCNA training material will include every topic on the certification test. As an example the basic of networking will be discussed. This concept includes the sharing of information between two computers. A hub is usually the devise that connects these two computers. The first step to secure communication between two computers is called name resolution. This process occurs through ENS, a popular method, or a host table. The process allows both computers to reach the IP address, causing the first step in the communication.

Now the IP address is able to communicate with each other, a conversion of the IP address much occur so both computers can reach the same code. This is called resolving the IP address to a MAC address or hardware address. The hardware address is built in by the manufacture. Typically network engineers can override these codes, but they most often they don't. The information allows both computers to be able to communicate with each other. The hub allows this communication to take place.

So that was an example of what CCNA training is all about. It's to help you understand the dynamic inter networking components that will allow you to prepare for the CCNA certification test.

There are tons of sources available to be able to continue your education and be able to certify yourself as a CCNA. The online realm includes many sources that offer audio products and guides, all designed for busy professionals to prepare themselves for the test. In additional, CCNA training shouldn't be expensive or difficult.

Get resources and videos on CCNA training and secure a wonderful career by studying CCNA training.
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Todd_Alexia

Using IT Certification to Get a Job in IT

One question I often hear asked by people wanting to get an IT job is "how much will I earn if I get certification X", another is "What type of job can I get with certification X".

They are under the belief that achieving one of these certifications will get them a particular job role, or an increase in salary. Many assume that if they can pass an MCSA then they will be able to walk in to systems administrator role, or if they get a CCNA they will be able to easily get a role as a Cisco network admin. If these people have the necessary experience to backup these qualifications then I wish them all the best. However the people who usually ask these questions are the ones with no experience.

Quite often you will see adverts from training providers offering a training course for people wanting to get into IT with the promise of a £30K+ at the end of it. The sad truth is that unless you are extremely lucky the chances of this happening are very slim.

There are also instance of people cheating to get these certifications using "brain dumps", this is where people get hold of copies of the actual test questions and answers. This allows them to memorise the correct answers to pass the test. These people would quickly be found out in a job scenario and promptly fired.

Certification should not be perceived as a method to get a job, it should be used as method to validate existing experience. Interviewers will quickly be able to see whether you have the experience required for a role, and if you have the necessary knowledge to go with your qualifications.

Using certification to validate your existing experience and skills will certainly help when applying for a new role as the potential employer will be able to look at these certifications along with your previous job history to get a better picture of your talents.

I will cover the subject of how to best get your first job in IT in a future article.
http://www.mmmlordy.co.uk
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Tom_Lord

CCNA Certification Test

The CCNA certification test can be grueling for anyone, but it does not have to be the hardest test in the world and CCNA training doesn't have to be either. The potential that it provides for a network engineer is substantial. However, if you are not prepared for it, you might as well kiss your dreams of becoming involved in the Information technology world. In a fast paced environment, being a Cisco Certified Network Associate will not only bring you great opportunities for entry level networking jobs in the IT field, but also give you the information that you need in order to do your job competently.

It is recommended that you have at least some experience, around one year, in the networking field before you attempt to take the CCNA certification test. This experience will not only allow you to learn more about the hardware involved, but it will also allow you to learn about the different information that you will need to know on the test.

The certification test for a Cisco Certified Network Associate is actually two separate tests. These tests help measure your ability to grasp the general knowledge that it takes to work on a Cisco server as well as switches and routers. In order to pass the test successfully, you need to learn everything that you can about the hardware involved. That is why at least one year of experience in the IT or server management field is suggested before you take the certification test. In addition to your work experience, the CCNA training allocated to passing the test will allow the information to sink in for you. Don't hesitate to do some research on the internet, read CCNA books or check a CCNA boot camp. The options for you to prepare for the test are endless.
Once you have learned all the necessary information for the CCNA certification test, you will only have 90 minutes in order to put it onto paper. You need to manage your time well, because the test can be rather lengthy depending upon which version you are taking. After you have taken the test, and received your certification, you will need to take it again in order to be re-certified in three years. However, you will only need to take the second portion of the test, unless you want to take the entire test again.

The process of getting the CCNA Certification test is complex, but it is manageable and many people are doing it every year. Don't waste your time, do some research on the Internet, visit CCNA training blogs, CCNA boot camps from technical schools and other options to be able to pass the test.

Get information for CCNA training and tips how to handle a CCNA boot camp.
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Todd_Alexia

Benefits of CCNA Certification

Today's software industries are in need of certified networking professionals, with excellent working knowledge of protocols like IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLAN's and the like, for installing, configuring, operating, maintaining, and trouble shooting LAN, WAN and other networks. I can speak with some authority on exam mistakes because over the past 8 years I have made most of them myself.

Enough about me anyway. I have taken a lot of IT exams since I left the police including Comptia exams, the MCSE, CCNA and the CCNP among a few others. IT exams are usually taken at an approved testing centre who all have to follow set rules and procedures to ensure each candidate has a similar experience. The problem is that there are factors both outside and inside the centre which can make passing the exam far more difficult for you than it needs to be.

Without further ado, allow me to explain how to avoid the 10 fatal exam mistakes for your Cisco CCNA exam or any other IT exam for that matter.

Mistake 1 - Not Doing a Dry Run
I took an exam recently. It was at the same testing centre I have used over the past 6 years. The only problem was that when I arrived to take my test I parked outside the office block and went for a nice coffee safe in the knowledge that I had allowed myself a good 30 minutes before my allocated test time.

The problem was that when I went to the front door I read to my horror a sign saying that they had moved. I felt a surge of adrenaline rush through the pit of my stomach. Luckily, they had only moved to the other side of the same building. Even though, that experience was very unnerving and I was still a bit jittery when I walked into the centre.
Please make sure you know EXACTLY where your testing centre is and if necessary do a dry run before exam day.

Mistake 2 - Cram or Not to Cram
Do you drive to the exam testing centre with your cram notes in your pocket? I have done both, taking cram notes and not taking them. I can't tell you which is the right thing for you to do but my personal experience is that you should not take cram notes with you for a last minute read. Sitting in your car outside the testing centre trying to read notes with your hands shaking will not help your nerves. You would be better served listening to some relaxing music.

Mistake 3 - Not Reading Your Exam Confirmation
Would you believe that my friend turned up to take a Cisco exam a few years ago and when he sat in front of the computer he realized to his horror that he was taking the wrong exam! He was a clever guy as well. It was just that when he booked the exam he mistook a number and booked himself onto a specialist Cisco exam instead of the CCNP module he wanted. Strangely enough, he actually passed the exam as well!

It is so easy to book the wrong exam so please double check before you book. Please print out your exam confirmation and double check the exam code, the date, time and venue. Please also ensure you take your exam confirmation with you to the testing centre. I have turned up to take an exam in the past and was told that I was not expected that day or any other day in fact. If I hadn't taken my confirmation with me then I would have had to drive all the way home as well. Not good.

Mistake 4 - Caffeine
I love coffee. I am in Starbucks almost every day. But there is a price to pay and that is having to visit the toilet every 30 minutes. Most Cisco exams are 90 minutes long as from my experience, they take almost exactly 90 minutes to complete. If you have to visit the toilet twice then you have lost about 5 precious minutes in your exam which you can't afford to do.
I would avoid having any caffeinated drinks before your exam.

Mistake 5 - Not Reading the Questions
I know you are not daft and can read perfectly well. I have done this myself though, I read the question on the exam but due to nerves and pressure of time I see the question I want to be there. Our eyes are basically scanning tools and the brain performs some sort of auto-complete as we read any text.

The auto-complete feature is not very useful when it comes to exams. Please read the question twice before looking at the answers.

Mistake 6 - Trying to Beat the Clock
That pesky clock sits in the corner of your computer screen silently taunting you as you sit there reading the questions. It might as well be a movie of sand falling through an egg timer.
The clock is a useful tool of course but don't let it pressure you to going faster than you can. The next few questions could be very simple ones such as port numbers rather than multi-step router configurations or 5 part troubleshooting scenarios. Use the clock to keep yourself on track but don't let it make you rush your answers.

Mistake 7 - Panicking
Exam nerves are very common and a little stress is good. What I find when I speak to many CCNA exam candidates is that they are experiencing symptoms such as shaking hands, excessive visits to toilets, blurred vision, memory loss and even tears!
I know how you feel because as a former police officer I have experienced terrible stress and nerves. Try having a gun pointed in your face! If you feel that exam nerves are going to affect your performance then please get help early. I recommend relaxation downloads. Find a reputable hypnosis downloads website and download some inductions for a few dollars. Money well spent. Please also see mistake 10.

Mistake 8 - Not Booking the Exam!
Do you know how many people I know who tell me that they are going to book their exam 'When I Feel Ready.' If I could comment on this situation. You will never feel 'ready' so you might as well book the exam now. Book it for a few weeks time and put the date into your diary. You can always move it back if you get to a few days away and are not adequately prepared.
Your brain is a goal seeking organism and if you have no firm goal set then you will yourself getting distracted or side tracked with the usual things life throws at you. For this reason I strongly recommend booking your exam date, even if you are just starting out with your studies.

Mistake 9 - Making a Fuss
When I took a Cisco exam recently the simulation software did not load correctly. I had to configure a router but the router prompt was below the window on the screen so I couldn't see what I was typing! Talk about difficult. I had to type commands and then press enter several times to see what I had typed finally appear in the window.

I pointed out the issue to the exam invigilator so I had a witness. She didn't have an suggestions for me and told me to fill in a box on the screen pointing out the issue to Cisco. There was no point shouting at her or demanding refunds. She was just there to set up my exam and enforce the rules about cheating.

I actually passed that exam which was a surprise to me but had I failed I'm sure Cisco would have given me a refund and I had a witness to the issue as well.

The wrong approach would have been to argue with the invigilator, to make a scene or even to refused to finish off the exam. If you see issues with the questions in your exam or experience similar issues then make a note on the screen which will be sent to Cisco, tell the invigilator if you need to and then continue. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Mistake 10 - Taking it Too Seriously

In know it is important to you but in the grand scheme of things it is only an exam! The most important things are you health, your family and God. Failing an exam will not be the end of the world.

Over the past few years I have failed exams, driving tests, job interviews and several other things which seemed important at the time. I even failed the CCIE lab once and that cost me $1500 plus air fare. Ouch! I just retook anything I failed or worked out other things I wanted to do instead.

If you do fail an exam then well done, at least you had a crack at it. Write down an action plan to tackle your weak areas and book it again. Everyone in the world fails at something important and you are no exception.
Conclusion

Keep a cool head and plan your exam in advance to give yourself the best chances of success. Treat the exam as a project and be serious about passing and at the same time, if you are not successful then give yourself a break, you are only human and anything worth passing is going to be hard by its very nature.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Paul Browning and I run my own IT training company in the UK and I also own an online Cisco certification resource site called http://www.howtonetwork.net I used the CCNA exam to help me leave my career as a police officer in the UK and get my first role as a network support engineer.
Paul Browning - CCNP, MCSE

Paul is the creator of the Cisco CCNA Training Site http://www.howtonetwork.net so please come and visit us and enjoy some free CCNA study tools.
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Paul_Browning

CCNA, CCENT, CCNP Tutorial on Routers and Routi

Routers are the critical part of all the networks and can be both security aid and security vulnerability. A router basically has more network interfaces through which network traffic is forwarded. Or it might be blocked. The router decides when to forward packets between the networks based on internal routing table.

The routing table can also be static. That means where each route is explicitly defined or dynamic where the router learns new routes by the use the routing protocols.

A router also supports access control lists that specify which packets to allow or blocked. Every packet going through a router will be checked against the ACL to see if the packet is allowed to be forwarded. Lots of current routers offer security capabilities along with their routing functionality. Segmenting the network using routers limits the amount of the data flowing through segments. It also applies to broadcast traffic.

Routers also allow technicians to explicitly deny a few packets the ability to be forwarded between segments. Using just the internal security features of some, routers can prevent users through internal network from using the Telnet to access external systems. Telnet are always a security risk as the passwords and all communications are transmitted in cleartext. Because of this, it's best not to create Telnet sessions between the internal network and an external network. Without a firewall, the rule can be put in place within the router to drop packets attempting to connect to port 23 on any external systems. After all of this is done by properly con- figuring the ACLs for the router. Spoofed packets are packets that contain the IP address in the header that are not the actual IP address of the originating the computer. Routers combat this by giving the technicians the ability to drop packets which are coming through the interface from the wrong subnet.

If the packet comes in from the router's external interface by using an IP address from the network on the router's internal interface, the router can be instructed to drop the packet and not forward it. There are two types of access lists available to filter traffic on Cisco routers. One of them is a standard access list. It allows technicians to filter traffic from specific addresses or subnet ranges. Cisco also provides extended access lists, which allow technicians to filter based on a variety of criteria. This access list allows technicians to use source addresses, destination addresses, and specific network services as the basis of filtering rules.

Learn about CCNA Exam and Vista 64 bit.
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=M._Aslam

Oracle Applications (Oracle E-business Suite) Customizations: What Is It?

Oracle Applications Customizations is a major issue in many companies that have implemented it. Oracle recommends every company that installs Oracle Applications to avoid any customization, but I have not seen any company that utilizes it and have not done any customization.
There are two types of Customizations: Extensions and Modifications.
• Extensions are components developed by customer, using the development features provided by Oracle within the E-business Suite. Oracle has provided guidelines and standards for creating extensions. It is extremely recommended that those are followed; it will certify that the new objects (extensions) are kept separate from standard E-business components.
• Modifications are changes done in the standard E-business suite objects or code. For example, a customer gets a database trigger from Oracle Applications database and makes some changes in the code. When customers follow this approach it is very difficult to identify the changes that have been done in the Oracle Applications, and this will affect future upgrades.
There are some common extensions on Oracle Applications Suite:
• Alert: Oracle Alerts facilitates the flow of information within a customer’s organization. Oracle workflow is used to develop new alerts.
• Database Objects: when the functionality is not available in Oracle Applications, it is possible to create a set of database objects. If the creation is necessary, it has to be done carefully, once it could impact the performance and the integrity of the system.
• File System and Custom Directory: always use the standard Oracle Flexible Architecture (OFA). This helps you to standardize installation and maintenance procedures. Create a new directory ($CUSTOM_TOP) and store all the customization in there.
• Forms: provides a way of populating custom tables. Oracle has provided a guideline for its implementation that must be followed. It has to be coded and tested properly; otherwise it can compromise the data integrity.
• Reports: Oracle provides the most usual reports and every company has to develop to their specific formats. Oracle Reports builder is the tool to be used and there are some risks in case of an upgrade, once that the schema of the objects used by Reports and Oracle eBusiness Suite can be changed in future releases.
Customization is a need at any company that has implemented Oracle Applications. The company offers many job opportunities; but to become a member of Cisco, you have to undergo some form of Cisco training. It is only after doing some Cisco training that you will become a Cisco certified Network Associate. With Cisco training, you learn all that is needed about necessary foundation and get a better understanding of IP networking and troubleshooting. And with this Cisco training, you become better prepared to answer the CCNA Routing and Switching Certification, and pass it to get your certificate.

CISCO Training Centers
The first thing you have to do to get Cisco training is to choose the Cisco training center you want to join. Once you have done the required research and chosen the right training center, you will have to first read and accept the terms of the Cisco Career Trainings and Confidentiality Agreement. The reason you have to agree to this agreement is so that Cisco can prevent you from sharing their information with outside sources. And in case you don't agree with the agreement, then your application for Cisco training will not be processed. Once the terms of the agreement are agreed upon, you can start on your Cisco training. Your Cisco training basically consists of teaching you to get a better understanding of the operations and functions of LAN, WAN, VPN, SAN and Cisco IOS fundamentals. In addition to this, there are other topics that are necessary, and will be covered in your Cisco training.

Practice Exams and Prep Centers for CCNA Certification
These topics include the technology and testing for Cisco equipment. There are many practice exams you have to complete after the Cisco training, where these exams are taken like most exams, timed. The best place to visit to learn more about Cisco training is Cisco's website. You will find information here about the CCNA certification training and when exams are scheduled. In addition to this, you find many other types of certificates with descriptions of the certificates and requirements required to get them in this website. There is also a prep center you can join to get the required CCNA certification training with which you will be able to pass the 55-65 question tests. Remember that this is a Cisco system certification; so you have to use your best bet in taking Cisco training courses from them to be successful in getting the certificate.

Becoming a Cisco Certified Network Associate
Once you complete your Cisco training, you are automatically considered to be a Cisco Certified Network Associate where you will be able to configure, install and operate LAN, WAN and dial access services that are used for small networks. In addition to this, Cisco training will make you competent for IP, Serial, IP RIP, Ethernet, Frame Relay, VLAN and Access lists.

So if this is what you intend to make of your career, then you will have to undergo efficient Cisco training to become a Cisco Certified Network Associate where you will be provided with employment wherever you go.

About the Author
Frank Pines is a freelance writer for Netwind Learning Center www.netwind.com an acknowledged leader in Cisco Training.
Published At: www.Isnare.comPermanent Link: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=249041&ca=Computers+and+Technology
Got a question about this article? Ask the community!

window.google_render_ad();

Cisco CCNA Certification: The Path To Take After Earning The CCNA

Once you earn your CCNA certification, you've got quite a few exciting choices ahead of you! The majority of CCNAs go on to pursue another Cisco certification, and this is a wise decision. The more you know, the more valuable you are in today's IT market.

A question I'm often asked by new CCNAs is "Which certification should I go after next?" Often, these new CCNAs have their eye on the Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) certification. While adding a security certification to your resume is an excellent idea, I strongly recommend that new CCNAs acquire their Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification before pursuing their security certifications. The CCNP requires you to pass three or four exams (depending on the path you choose) that will demand a further mastery of some subjects you studies to earn your CCNA as well as several important topics that you haven’t seen yet.

The CCNP builds on the foundation of networking knowledge you built when you earned your CCNA, and your CCNP study will add greatly to your skills and resume. There are some common technologies that you'll see in many networks - BGP and route redistribution among them - that you don't learn about in your CCNA studies. By pursuing your CCNP, you'll also learn much more about OSPF, switching, and refine your troubleshooting skills. These are skills that will pay off in your current job as well as any future job hunting you do.

I know that security is the hot topic of the day, and with good reason. But to be a well-rounded networking engineer, you need to understand BGP, route redistribution, complex route summarization scenarios, and many other topics that earning the CCNP will help you understand. And besides, the security certifications will definitely be there when you're done earning your CCNP!

About the Author
Chris Bryant, CCIE #12933, is the owner of The Bryant Advantage (http://www.thebryantadvantage.com), home of free CCNA and CCNP tutorials, The Ultimate CCNA Study Package, and Ultimate CCNP Study Packages. FTP provides functions to upload, download and delete files, create and delete directories, read directory contents. While FTP is very popular, it has certain disadvantages that make it harder to use. The major drawbacks are lack of the uniform format for directory listing (this problem has been partially solved by introducing MLST command, but it's not supported by some servers) and presence of the secondary connection (DATA connection). Security in FTP is provided by employing SSL/TLS protocol for channel encryption as defined in RFC 2228. The secured version of FTP is called FTPS.

In UNIX systems another security standard has grown. It was SSH family of protocols. The primary function of SSH was to secure remote shell access to UNIX systems. Later SSH was extended with file transfer protocol - first SCP (in SSH 1.x), then SFTP (in SSH2). Version 1 of the SSH protocol is outdated, insecure and generally not recommended for use. Consequently SCP is not used anymore and SFTP gains popularity day by day.

"SFTP" abbreviation is often mistakenly used to specify some kind of Secure FTP, by which people most often mean FTPS. Another (similar) mistake is that SFTP is thought to be some kind of FTP over SSL. In fact SFTP is an abbreviation of "SSH File Transfer Protocol". This is not FTP over SSL and not FTP over SSH (which is also technically possible, but very rare).

SFTP is a binary protocol, the latest version of which is standardized in RFC 4253. All commands (requests) are packed to binary messages and sent to the server, which replies with binary reply packets. In later versions SFTP has been extended to provide not just file upload/download operations, but also some file-system operations, such as file lock, symbolic link creation etc.

Both FTPS and SFTP use a combination of asymmetric algorithm (RSA, DSA), symmetric algorithm (DES/3DES, AES, Twhofish etc.) and a key-exchange algorithm. For authentication FTPS (or, to be more precise, SSL/TLS protocol under FTP) uses X.509 certificates, while SFTP (SSH protocol) uses SSH keys.

X.509 certificates include the public key and certain information about the certificate owner. This information lets the other side verify the integrity of the certificate itself and authenticity of the certificate owner. Verification can be done both by computer and to some extent by the human. X.509 certificate has an associated private key, which is usually stored separately from the certificate for security reasons.

SSH key contains only a public key (the associated private key is stored separately). It doesn't contain any information about the owner of the key. Neither it contains information that lets one reliably validate the integrity and authenticity. Some SSH software implementations use X.509 certificates for authentication, but in fact they don't validate the whole certificate chain - only the public key is used (which makes such authentication incomplete and similar to SSH key authentication).

Here's the brief list of Pros and Cons of the two protocols:
FTPS
Pros:
Widely known and used
The communication can be read and understood by the human
Provides services for server-to-server file transfer
SSL/TLS has good authentication mechanisms (X.509 certificate features)
FTP and SSL/TLS support is built into many internet communication frameworks.
Cons:
Doesn't have a uniform directory listing format
Requires a secondary DATA channel, which makes it hard to use behind the firewalls
Doesn't define a standard for file name character sets (encodings)
Not all FTP servers support SSL/TLS
Doesn't have a standard way to get and change file and directory attributes
SFTP

Pros:
Has good standards background which strictly defines most (if not all) aspects of operations
Has only one connection (no need for DATA connection)
The connection is always secured
The directory listing is uniform and machine-readable
The protocol includes operations for permission and attribute manipulation, file locking and more functionality
Cons:

The communication is binary and can't be logged "as is" for human reading
SSH keys are harder to manage and validate
The standards define certain things as optional or recommended, which leads to certain compatibility problems between different software titles from different vendors.
No server-to-server copy and recursive directory removal operations
No built-in SSH/SFTP support in VCL and .NET frameworks
What to choose

As usually, the answer depends on what your goals and requirements are. In general, SFTP is technologically superior to FTPS. Of course, it's a good idea to implement support for both protocols, but they are different in concepts, in supported commands and in many other things.
It's a good idea to use FTPS when you have a server that needs to be accessed from personal devices (smartphones, PDAs etc.) or from some specific operating systems which have FTP support but don't have SSH / SFTP clients. If you are building a custom security solution, SFTP is probably the better option.

As for the client side, the requirements are defined by the server(s) that you plan to connect to. When connecting to Internet servers, SFTP is more popular because it's supported by Linux and UNIX servers by default.

For private host-to-host transfer you can use both SFTP and FTPS. For FTPS you would need to search for a free FTPS client and server software or purchase a license for commercial one. For SFTP support you can install OpenSSH package, which provides free client and server software.

Developer tools
If you are a software developer and need to implement file transfer capability in your application, you will be searching for the components to do the job.
In .NET you have built-in support for FTPS in .NET Framework (see FtpWebRequest class). However functionality of this class is severely limited, especially in SSL/TLS control aspect. .NET Framework doesn't include any support for SSH or SFTP.

In VCL you have a selection of free components and libraries which provide FTP functionality. When you add OpenSSL to them, you can get FTPS for free. If you don't want to deal with OpenSSL DLLs, you can use one of the commercially available libraries for SSL and FTPS support. Again, there are no freeware SFTP components available for VCL.

If you use a tool with which you have to use ActiveX controls, you need to search for commercial FTPS or SFTP controls. No free controls are available.

Eugene Mayevski takes a post of Chief Technical Officer in EldoS Corporation ( http://www.eldos.com ), the company that specializes in development of security and low-level system components for software developers.

SecureBlackbox ( http://www.SecureBlackbox.com ) is the product of EldoS Corporation that provides SFTP and FTPS support for .NET and VCL frameworks.
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Eugene_Mayevski

Cisco CCNA / CCNP Home Lab Setup Tutorial: How To Buy & Build A Frame Relay Switch

One of the major topics on your CCNA and CCNP exams is Frame Relay. Additionally, Frame Relay is one of the most popular WAN technolgies in today's networks. Getting hands-on experience with Frame Relay in Cisco networks isn't just a good idea, it's a necessity. Let's face it, your employer is going to get a little touchy if you start experimenting with your network's Frame Relay setup.

To practice all your important Frame Relay commands for your exams, you need a working Frame Relay cloud in your home lab. A production network's Frame cloud consists of a lot of Frame switches, but if you choose wisely, a single Cisco router can act as your home lab's entire Frame cloud!

Before we look at the configuration of such a router (hereafter referred to as a "frame relay switch"), let's look at the physical requirements.

The more serial ports you have, the better. You should get a router with at least four serial ports. For frame switching purposes, it doesn't matter if the ports are synchronous or asynchronous - you just need the ports.

You will also need some DTE/DCE cables. The DCE end of the cables will be connected to the frame switch.

A great configuration for a CCNA practice lab is three routers that serve as "production" routers, and a 4th router as a frame relay switch. (You'll want an access server as well, but that's another article.)

What I use in my student and customer pods is a setup where R1 is connected to the frame switch's S1 port, R2 is connected to S2 on the frame switch, and R3 is connected to the frame switch's S3 port.

Now comes the tricky part - the configuration. A frame relay switch's config can be hard to find, so here's a copy of mine. Pay particular attention to the config on ports s1, s2, and s3.

version 12.0service timestamps debug uptime
service timestamps log uptime
no service password-encryption
!hostname FRAME_SWITCH
!!ip subnet-zero
no ip domain-lookup
frame-relay switching
!!!interface Ethernet0
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
shutdown
!interface Serial0
ip address 10.1.1.2 255.255.255.0
clockrate 56000
!interface Serial1
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
encapsulation frame-relay
logging event subif-link-status
logging event dlci-status-change
clockrate 56000
no frame-relay inverse-arp
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 122 interface Serial2 221
frame-relay route 123 interface Serial3 321
!interface Serial2
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
encapsulation frame-relay
logging event subif-link-status
logging event dlci-status-change
clockrate 56000
no frame-relay inverse-arp
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 221 interface Serial1 122
!interface Serial3
no ip address
no ip directed-broadcast
encapsulation frame-relay
logging event subif-link-status
logging event dlci-status-change
clockrate 56000
no frame-relay inverse-arp
frame-relay intf-type dce
frame-relay route 321 interface Serial1 123
!interface BRI0
ip address 150.1.1.1 255.255.255.252
no ip directed-broadcast
encapsulation ppp
dialer map ip 150.1.1.2 name R2 broadcast 2335552221
dialer-group 1
!ip classless
!dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit
!line con 0
exec-timeout 0 0
logging synchronous
transport input none
line aux 0
line vty 0 4
login
!end

The key command in the global configuration is frame-relay switching. You must have this configured before you can configure the interfaces.

The interfaces will be configured with the frame route command. Let's take a look at what each value means in the command frame-relay route 122 interface Serial2 221.
frame-relay route - the command
122 - the incoming DLCI on this interface
interface serial2 - the interface the data will be sent out
221 - the outgoing DLCI
This command on S1 means that anything that comes in on this port on DLCI 122 will be sent out interface serial2 on DLCI 221.

It's a good idea to hard-code the interfaces to act as DCEs with the frame intf-type dce command. Since these interfaces are acting as DCEs, the clockrate command is needed for the line protocol to come up.

Once you've configured your frame switch as shown and have configured the frame map statements on the "production" routers, you can test the frame switch configuration. On the frame switch, run the command show frame route.

FRAME_SWITCH#show frame routeInput Intf Input Dlci Output Intf Output Dlci StatusSerial1 122 Serial2 221 activeSerial1 123 Serial3 321 activeSerial2 221 Serial1 122 activeSerial3 321 Serial1 123 active

You should see "active" for all the interfaces. If you see "deleted", make sure your frame switch interfaces are open if they are, check the router configs.

Keep in mind that you can still configure routing protocols to run on ports that you're not using for frame switching. The router we used here had an ethernet port and BRI port, and the BRI port has been configured as part of the production network. Running frame switching does not disable IP routing.

Purchasing and configuring your own frame relay switch is an invaluable part of your Cisco education. By practicing your frame commands and configuring frame connections over your own frame relay cloud, you're polishing your Cisco skills and gaining knowledge that cannot be duplicated by simulator programs.

To your success,
Chris Bryant, CCIE #12933, is the owner of The Bryant Advantage, home of over 100 free certification exam tutorials, including Cisco CCNA certification test prep articles. Cisco exams are no exception. Here are three often-repeated myths and exaggerations regarding the CCNA and CCNP exams.

1. The survey you fill out before the exam determines the questions you'll get. Before you actually start your exam, Cisco presents you with a survey asking how you prepared and how comfortable you feel with certain technologies. It's a little awkward to rate yourself on Frame Relay, ISDN, etc., especially since the exam you're about to take covers those subjects. It's human nature to think that these questions impact your exam, but they do not.

I've seen posts on the Net saying that if you rank yourself as "great" in a subject, your exam will have harder questions on that topic, and if you rank yourself lower in that same subject, your exam will be filled with questions on this topic. Cisco has debunked this myth, so get it out of your mind. Don't think too much when you're filling out the survey.

2. If you miss a question, the exam keeps asking you about that topic until you get one right. This is known as "adaptive testing", and Cisco does not use this kind of testing in its exams. Your questions are drawn from a large question pool before you start the test. Those of us who remember adaptive testing from Novell exams years ago don't particularly miss this kind of testing! (For those who haven't taken an adaptive exam, you never knew how many questions you were going to get, only that there was a minimum around 15 questions. Your exam could end at any time after that. Nerve-wracking!)

3. If you use an extra command in the simulator questions, it'll be marked wrong. The Cisco simulator engine in the CCNA and CCNP exams acts just as a router or switch would. You are not going to be penalized for using an extra command. If the engine doesn't accept a command, you'll be told that when you use it. Just configure it as you would a router or switch.

When you walk into the exam room totally prepared with a combination of theoretical knowledge, hands-on experience, and configuration troubleshooting skills, you are ready to pass. Don't let Internet gossip distract you from the task at hand -- passing!

Chris Bryant, CCIE #12933, is the owner of The Bryant Advantage, home of over 100 free certification exam tutorials, including Cisco CCNA certification test prep articles. It's not enough to know the definition, however you've got to know when AD comes into the picture and when it does not.

When a packet needs to be routed, the router looks in its routing table for the next-hop IP address the packet should take to get to the destination. There may be more than one matching path, in which case the router will look for the "longest match". The route that has the longest match - the route with the most bits in the mask set to "1" - will be the route that is used.

Consider the following three routes from a fictional Cisco router:
I 172.17.0.0 /24 via 172.1.1.1
O 172.17.0.0 /25 via 173.1.1.1
R 172.17.0.0 /26 via 174.1.1.1

This router has three possible next-hop IP addresses that it can send packets destined for the network 172.17.0.0. The masks are of different lengths, meaning that the route with the longest match (again, the route with the most bits set to "1") will be used. In this example, the RIP route will be used, since it has the longest match with a mask of /26. The administrative distances do not matter.

AD does matter when the masks are the same length, as shown here:
I 172.17.0.0 /24 via 172.1.1.1
O 172.17.0.0 /24 via 173.1.1.1
R 172.17.0.0 /24 via 174.1.1.1
The longest match rule always precedes the use of AD, but here there is a three-way tie regarding the masks. They're all /24 (or 255.255.255.0 in dotted decimal). AD will be used to break this tie.

As mentioned, AD is a measurement of a protocol's believability. It is important to keep in mind that the lowest AD will be preferred. And while the routing table will show you the ADs of the respective protocols, it's a very good idea to know these ADs before taking the CCNA or CCNP:

Connected route: 0
Static Route: 1
EIGRP Summary: 5
External BGP: 20
EIGRP (Internal): 90
IGRP: 100
OSPF: 110
ISIS : 115
RIP: 120
EIGRP (External) : 170

Unknown: 255 (A router will not believe a source with an AD of 255, and such routes will not be placed into the routing table.)

The three protocols we looked at in the comparison were RIP, IGRP, and OSPF. While your first instinct may be that the OSPF route would be the most believable, IGRP actually has a lower AD than the other two and would be the route installed in the routing table.

Since IGRP does not support variable-length subnet masking and OSPF does, you may never see this scenario outside of an exam question. But if you do see it in the exam room or in a production network, you'll understand how an IGRP route could be preferred over an OSPF route.

Chris Bryant, CCIE #12933, is the owner of The Bryant Advantage, home of over 100 free certification exam tutorials, including Cisco CCNA certification test prep articles. This is a professional designation given to a person who has cleared the credit-by-exam conducted by Microsoft Corporation. This course is one of the most lucrative career building options pursued by IT aspirants. The qualifying examination is very tough and is constantly revised and updated according to the developments in the systems of Microsoft.

This certification is such a demanding one that a lot of aids and study material have come up, which claim to give guaranteed success to the students who prepare with the help of these materials. Subsequently, many brain dumps have been created for the students. MCSE Brain Dumps are known for their prevalence on the web as the guaranteed preparation tool for these exams.

The phrase Brain Dump is not a formal one. It is generally used as a slang in the world of computing. It is referred to the act of copying large quantity of information from a database, which is not accessible otherwise through a small device. It is generally from a database of IT certification and is replicated widely. This actually violates a lot of norms of the non-disclosure agreements.

There are a number of Braindumps of the MCSE course as its examination is hard to crack and its certification is all the more demanding for an IT career. There are special MCSE brain dumps websites as well; these deal with MCSE examinations material information in large quantities. They not only have material in the from of sample questions and answers for MCSE but for almost all other kinds of examination and certification courses which are offered.
These websites carry a disclaimer that they run the dump through the support of resources submitted by the users. But materials which are copyrighted are not allowed to be uploaded on the dump. Interestingly, these websites claim at the same time to give you exact question and answer packages as the real MCSE examination.

There are other such brain dumps which go by various names. For example one website provides a list of samples which are on sale for $95.. They can be downloaded and printed out. What more? The website assures a guaranteed success. Other wise, they have a money back plan. They claim to reimburse a student who has used the material and failed to get through MCSE.

Other websites run a forum which deals with the preparation of MCSE and other such examinations. These can be called mega brain dumps as they contain hundreds of dumps accumulated from the users and are updated. These dumps are also rated and one can browse through the best quality dumps for finding relevant materials for the MCSE exams. Then there are master dumps that are claimed to be the most comprehensive set of sample material.

You have to be a member of the brain dump community to view the dumps. You can register any time on the web pages. All websites, which are online communities, offer a log in and register page. By being a member you can download any dump you like and you can also submit a dump on the page after reworking it yourself. Above all, these websites or brain dumps carry the disclaimer that they do not have the actual questions and answers of the MCSE examination. So, in case you are using a website or joining the community, there is nothing illegal about it.

Each of these dumps contains around 300 questions and their sample answers. The number of questions varies according to the specific course you are appearing for. It also includes a self testing engine that is developed to conduct a mock test on your computer when you have downloaded it. These single dumps are available at a price of $25 at best.

Thus these brain dumps can be of vital use to MCSE aspirants and one can also join the forums for discussions, where one can pick up valuable tips for clearing the examination.

Tony Shipp owns and operates http://www.mcsedumpinfo.com MCSE Dumps
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Tony_Shipp

IT Certifications To Better Your Knowledge, Job And Pay

To start don't make the same mistake I did by being a waste of life and not driving yourself to the next level. You need to motivate yourself to want more. Remember, every day more and more people enter the IT field. This means that the every day IT employee will become so common place that it wont matter if your company fires you! The goal to obtaining certifications is not just so you can say you have them but instead to make yourself stand out above the vast pool of "clone" employees. Don't let yourself get comfortable... you need to stay on your toes in this industry.

I came to the aforementioned realization once I was bored in my position. It hit me like a pile of bricks once one of my buddies got fired. I went right out and decided I was going to motivate myself to get a few certifications (starting at the bottom and working up).

I started out by going to Barnes and Noble to buy and A+ certification book. After reading the book from cover to cover I went over the major topics and took the test. I FAILED!! I was so disappointed so I started looking into alternatives. The best one I found was Prep Logic Simulation Exams. After using the simulation exam I passed the A+ with flying colors. I then moved onto the network+ and security+ certifications.

Of course, I went right to prep logic and downloaded their audio books and study materials. Once I felt I knew everything I downloaded the simulation exams and confirmed I knew enough to pass. Needless to say, I passed both exams on the first shot!! Most recently I used the same techniques for the EC Council CEH certification and Cisco's CCNA certification. I passed BOTH! I cant stress enough how well Prep Logic's materials have helped me. My next conquest is the Cisco CCNP Certification. I have downloaded the material and started studying! Almost test time but not yet. Very soon!

If you want to push yourself to the next level and get your IT certifications from Microsoft, Comptia, ECCouncil, ISC, Cisco and a ton of others you HAVE to go to Prep Logic's Website and download their amazing materials. Trust me you wont forget it and will pass those tests! They even have a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Mike_G

Download Bestseller Software Online

In this article we will discuss some best selling softwares online. There is also a lot of software available to provide for the market but a lot of this is not seen as they are not major companies. So there is not much exposure and movie fans do not get to use these great features.

Here is a list of the best free software to download movies online:

1. Graboid television. Offer high speed DVD quality downloads of every movie and television episode of the last 10 years.

2. Kazaa. Even though this is not allowed in a lot of countries. It still is the best in those countries for which it is still allowed. Mainly in South America and Europe.

3. Morpheus. Not as good as Kazaa because of slow download speeds and some times unsafe files.
You need a good anti virus and pop up blocker and this software should work very well.

4. Cinema Now. This is free to download and use the trial. But it can become expensive once the trial period runs out. The quality of the downloads are really second to none.

5. Apple store. Itunes offers cheap movie downloads and the quality is very good. The disadvantage is though, it can not be seen on big computer screens but only on Ipods and Iphones.

These are all good software which still offer free movie downloads. In many cases though it is best to go to the cinema to make sure the industry that you love continues to produce good movies for the years to come.

Visit Free Movie And Television Episode Downloads! This is a must see site for all movie lovers. Visit Free Movie And Television Episode Downloads!
Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Steven_Francesco_Simpson

IT Job Opportunies
Vacancies for IT Engineers, DBAs,Network Administrators etc
Unclassified Job Opportunities

Learn About The Software Through Video Tutorials

The Internet has caused a lot of changes in the learning process on the various tools used in computing. First off were those online computer tutorial courses that offer reading materials and accounts on a tutorial course provider's website. Upon registration for an online computer tutorial course, which usually required people to cough up a huge amount of cash, people are considered formal students of the computer training course. They are given access to the forum and discussion boards, which contain necessary information on the course.

With faster and more accessible Internet connections, the profitability of online tutorial courses did not take the assumed leap it should have taken, along with the improvements on Internet connectivity. This is because despite the accessibility and affordability of faster Internet connections and more secure online transactions, people around the world still could not afford the registration fees that most online computer tutorial course providers are asking for. Plus, how could these providers expect a huge stream of people registering for an online computer tutorial course when a huge percentage of these people could not even browse the Internet?

Video tutorials on computer training, specific application tips and tricks, and even on computer hardware troubleshooting and optimization techniques are not new methods of learning the craft of such IT-related skills. But over online computer training courses, these video tutorials have a lot of advantages to boot. Yet, you have to make sure that what you're getting on either a VCD or a DVD, is well worth your cash and your time.

There are dozens of video tutorial providers who integrate tutorial systems on their videos that aren't quite useful or even aren't as efficient and effective as an online computer training course. As such, you should check the credibility of your sources of video tutorials on computer training techniques and tactics. Maximum Software has released a new suite of video tutorials for each level of skill and a specified field of interest.

With a company such as Maximum Software and its years of efficient IT-related products and services, credibility is already assured. Plus, you are also assured of the most updated and accurate video tutorials on computer training techniques and tactics due to the IT professionals that they employ as creators of the video tutorials. After all, why would you need a video on application-specific tips and tricks when you could easily discover such tactics yourself?

With the credibility of such providers of video tutorials on computer training, the next step for you to take is to carefully consider the training system integrated in the DVDs or VCDs of their computer tutorial suite. The main disadvantage of online computer training courses is that these programs do not cater to the difference in pacing and learning systems of each individual. But with video tutorials from credible sources, a seamless learning and teaching system is integrated in each video tutorial offered. Maximum Software's video tutorials are designed to provide users tips and tricks sans the time pressure, thus providing people of a learning process at their own pace.

Pacing when it comes to learning computer techniques vary from each person to the other. With video tutorials that can be rewound and fast-forwarded, paused and stopped, and can be viewed numerous times in the person's discretion, it would not really matter much if the videos were created with slow or fast teaching process. With the video tutorial suite packages of Maximum Software, careful considerations have been made so as to get the actual pacing that is on the middling portions of the learning spectrum.

The virtual lessening or total absence of time pressure in learning the techniques of each video tutorial package of Maximum Software is also a very huge advantage over those online computer training courses. Online courses abruptly end without making sure that all formally registered students have learned everything there is to learn from the program. Come to think of it, these providers of online computer training courses don't even assure that their students have learned something, even anything, of the things that should be helping them advance in their technology-related fields!

Maximum Software provides either newbies or intermediate computer users the option to choose a specific field of interest when it comes to their video tutorials. This would definitely be a big boost on the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire learning process. This option would not bore the person of the techniques and tactics included in the video, for they themselves chose a specific field of interest.

Plus, carefully dividing a field of interest into sub-classifications makes the learning process not only easier, but efficient as it should be. This avoids the mental stress or information overload that a user may likely experience given the broad range of topics in a single video tutorial. For instance, Maximum Software has divided the Windows Office XP application video tutorial suite into several classifications. As such, those who only want to learn Word can learn everything about Word, and be overwhelmed with information on, say, the less used Access program of the Windows Office XP suite.

The video tutorials from Maximum Software can be securely bought and downloaded from the company's website. You can also check on the credibility of this company and the reliability of their security measures when it comes to online transactions involving money and personal information. This would provide you with more peace of mind regarding the reputation and credibility of Maximum Software. However, this company has been in the IT industry, delivering quality products and services in the field. With such a track record, it would be rather doubtful if the company doesn't appear as credible and reputable as it actually is.

Maximum Software products are designed for maximum accessibility and readability. Users would not get lost with information on their chosen videos because the functions and features of the products are conveniently displayed on the site. There are detailed information on each video tutorial package to be found on the website. Contact information of the company can also be found on almost all pages of the websites, a feature which just goes to show the sincere intent to encourage proper website design and development.

Furthermore, Internet surfers would find it very easy to navigate their way through the website because of its informative and seamless design. As mentioned, information are provided regarding the corresponding features of the video packages. Upon acquiring the necessary information on a product or service you are interested in, you can now take the next step towards buying yourself an efficient and effective video tutorial on your chosen field of interest. The website properly gives you further instructions on how you can get the product, and a standard set of security measures and privacy provisions which protect the user and the company alike.

The website lists the selection for your chosen video tutorial package. You can learn various versions of Windows, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and more. The company even has video tutorials on Ebay! Plus, there are a couple of good promos here and there that you can avail with your purchase. You can browse and select the bonus packages you can get, according to your tutorial needs and your own budget. After doing so, you are taken to the online payment transaction, which is very secure in terms of cash transfers and personal information exchange between the user and the company. After a successful transaction, you will be asked your preferred delivery mode, which would either be through downloading the video tutorial on a secure FTP server or physical transference systems.

If you need more information on acquiring the very useful and efficient video tutorial on the computer training course of your choice, you can check out the provider's website by clicking here http://www.software-tutoring.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Patrick_A._Wilson

Information Technology Certification Test Taking Tips & Techniques

How to pass your Information Technology Certification Exam is the question that ALL students who are preparing for their IT certification exam should be asking! With many online sites giving you certification test taking tips and techniques where do you begin with gathering the pertinent information about being prepared for your certification? There are 2 major questions that every prospective student looking for their information technology certification should be inquiring. Certification test taking tips and techniques really come down to the study technique and the appropriate material.

There are many Information Technology Certification practice test questions, free study guides, free online tutoring and practice exam questions that people want such as: Microsoft, Comp TIA, MCDST, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, A+, MCPD, Comp TIA Network, Comp TIA Security, CCNA, CNA, CISA and many others. Knowing the secrets of certification test taking and implementing the most effective technique will give you the edge in passing your certification exam. You can lose your fear of test taking and have the confidence you need when going to your certification exam center.

What is the most effective study technique to use when studying for your information technology certification exam? Many online certification training centers will tell you to relax, use flash cards to prepare, review your material the day before the exam and to think positive about passing. Memorization of all your material is not the most logical choice for exam preparation. If you have a book that is eight hundred pages long and five hundred practice exam questions then you would be foolish to try to memorize all of this material or even part of it. There is another very effective way of retaining the information that you need to pass your information technology certification exam. Simple repetition of the actual exam material will better prepare you for your certification exam.

Having the appropriate material like practice exam questions and study guides will better prepare you for your certification exam then anything else you may obtain. There is much online certification training and the material that they use is extremely important when it comes time to take your exam. There is much IT certification material that will help you understand the operation of a windows operating system but how much of that material will be on the actual exam? In order to pass your information technology certification exam you will want only the material that pertains to the actual exam itself. If you could have the exact IT certification exam right in front of you to study before you took the actual certification exam would you not be better prepared to pass then any other method?

Exam preparation does not have to be difficult. Why spend your money on useless material that is out dated and irrelevant to the actual certification exam. You can learn much from someone who has taken an information technology certification exam and how they prepared using a proven way of success. Their test taking techniques could benefit you more then any study guide. Information technology test taking is unlike other certifications. Certification preparation is really not as difficult as some make it out to be. If you use the most effective study technique and the best test taking tips about studying the exact material on the actual certification exam then you will be able to go to the exam center fully confident about passing. Of course, this certification does not carry as much weight as some of the others but it is worth having in its own right. There are quite a few ways you may want to go about studying for Microsoft Access certification and one option is to use online tutorials. This may seem like a novel idea and one that especially appeals to you. Computer savvy people really enjoy using technology to help them study and that is where the Access tutorial on the Internet comes into play.

MS Access training will take some time so don’t think you can sign up for the exam and start going over the tutorials the night before. While some small percentage of folks doing this will pass not many will and it really isn’t a good idea. The point of becoming certified in Access or anything else for that matter is so that you know how to handle the program and show others as well. If you just wing it and happen to pass the exam the certification won’t help you all that much when it comes to your job. So, start using the Access tutorial CD long before the test day so that you can dedicate adequate time and energy to learning the software.

The best way to start with a Microsoft Access online tutorial is to see what is available. Different websites offer tutorials and you should compare which ones are best, as well as the sites showing the same tutorials. Once you choose a site then it is time to get serious. Sit down in a quiet place and start going over the tutorials. Don’t let yourself move on from one tutorial to another unless you have no questions and are 100% sure you know everything that was presented. A great idea is to focus on one or two tutorials per day, depending on your learning curve and as well as the difficulty of the particular tutorials. Sometimes you may be able to learn three tutorials in a day because it is easy information or information you already know and other tutorials may require two days of study. Just give yourself plenty of time and focus on what’s important, which is becoming Microsoft Access certified. When you do this you will study they way you should and end up passing your certification exam.

Caitlina Fuller writes about computers and software. MS Access training will take some time so don’t think you can sign up for the exam and start going over the tutorials the night before. These providers of free online computer courses offer free course materials that can be freely downloaded from their respective websites. But the main thing here is to assure the credibility of the sources and accuracy of the detailed information on a specific course. If such a provider has enough experience in the IT industry to back their claims, chances are, you're getting the best free online computer course deal in the country.

Now always remember that free online computer courses can be obtained by just acquiring a free set of educational materials on a specific field of interest. If free educational materials on computer courses are what you want, then you should consider getting these from IBM and the Computer Science Teachers Association. Through accredited schools in the country, that is.

Now these two top American IT specialist groups have actually teamed up with each other so as to provide free online computer course materials on various tech areas. The tech areas cover a wide range of specific skill-development training materials, such as free online computer course materials on advanced handheld equipment usability, JAVA-based programming, web design and development, Flash, and SQL programming. These free computer course materials have integrated a system to match each individual's skill level in a certain area of computer technology. The online system provides the distance learners the option of dictating their own pace when it comes to the learning process. Plus, since it's an online computer course they're availing, they could easily take on fun travel holidays even while continuing with the course.

There are free materials for beginner, intermediate, and expert learners, respectively. IBM and the Computer Science Teachers Association have created these materials so as to be integrated on the educational system of the country. With this, these free online computer course materials would be handled by each accredited educational institution.

For a beginner, these electronic computer-related training materials would be very useful. Compared to other online computer training courses, such digital materials do not need intermediary skills in computer navigation and basic computer software operation. In addition, these free digital materials do not require a learner to have the skills in navigating through the internet. Of course, the reason for this is quite obvious. If it's an online computer-related course a learner is intent on studying, this person must possess internet browsing and computer navigation skills that range from beginner levels to near-expert skills. But what IBM and the Computer Science Teachers Association have made accessible even to beginners are the materials themselves. Aside from the fact that these learners are given free online computer-related course materials based on their choice and skills, they can just download these free course materials and view them offline. This makes such materials accessible even to those without internet browsing knowledge. Some materials or documents are even available in non-electronic or hard copies, which make learning even more accessible to those without proper computer navigation and software operation skills.

On the other hand, intermediate to near-expert computer and IT specialists can also benefit from these free online computer course materials. The main reason for this is that these free online materials from IBM and the Computer Science Teachers Association have passed the strictest standards when it comes to quality and accuracy. Through the documents made available by the team-up, students with enough background on IT-related topics and subjects could already gain substantial knowledge in his or her chosen field. Thus, these free online computer course materials can greatly help in making the data from free online computer courses, or even the paid ones, virtually usable and easy to understand. In this sense, the free electronic course materials by IBM and the association can even be used as a stand-alone method of learning each field of IT; this could be very much advantageous to those who possess average to above average computer skills. Another additional bonus of these materials is that students could easily set their own pace of learning, without any pressure whatsoever from online course administrators who give out tight deadlines for projects and modular activities.

About the Author
For more valuable information on college course online and computer course, please visit http://www.coursenotes.com
Published At: www.Isnare.comPermanent Link: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=79919&ca=Education
Got a question about this article? Ask the community!

Using Information Technology In Your Business

Almost every business in the world nowadays makes use of a computer system in one form or another. So, given that you are using a computer in your business, you might want to ask yourself if you are getting the most out of it.

1. Make A Database Of Products Also, Customers
Once your business grows to a certain size it doesn't make sense to keep track of everyone you do business with on paper. You will want to have a full database of customer names, contact details, addresses, and a record of their transactions with you. A number of cheap softwares are available that let you do just this, but it's also possible to make your own database using open-source technologies like PHP and MySQL.

2. Graph Sales Also, Make Predictions
Once you have your data all sorted neatly, you can go a step further and get your computer to produce charts, graphs, and even predict what sales will be like in the months or years ahead. Using this data, you can track what marketing campaigns work and that didn't work so well.

3. Marketing Materials
You don't have to buy a top of the line graphic design package if you don't want to. Various pieces of software allow you to do just one thing, for example, create a business card design or a brochure. You will still have to pay for good card stock if you are making business cards, however.

4. Sell Over The Internet
You can use computers to set up a website that has an online store. You can also open a merchant account to use as part of your home business over the phone or by post, with you simply entering the card numbers and amounts into a website to process the payments.

5. Back Up Records
Sometimes, the importance of backing things up can only come from learning things the hard way. Regardless, if you are smart you will have some kind of system-restore software installed on your computer. Better yet, make a complete backup of your computer on an external hard drive.

About the Author
For more great business related articles and resources check out http://businessopportunityinsider.info
Published At: www.Isnare.comPermanent Link: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=87138&ca=Business
Got a question about this article? Ask the community!
